Trash is picked up every Friday by Kaufmann Disposal Service Inc. There is a 5-bag limit per pick up for regular household trash. No chemicals, toxic waste, paint, or yard waste. Please have all trash at the curb by 7 AM. If it is a holiday and they will not be picking up, a notice will be posted at the post office and via their Facebook page.
Should you have any large items (couch, tables, mattresses, appliances, etc), you must call them do schedule a pick up. If you don’t call, they will not pick it up, neither will the Village.
Electronics such as TVs, computers, stereos, etc will not be picked up by the Village nor Kaufmann’s. The City of Watseka along with the Iroquois County Board holds yearly electronic disposal events, please check their Facebook for updates.
